Family: She adopted Resurrection when she was a filly. Escarcha considers the young unicorn mare "her princess".

Past: She was born hundreds of years ago, one fatidic day when a unicorn froze to death trapped in a cold blizzard. Everypony said that was dangerous to go on a trip with that weather, but she didn't listen. The day she was waiting for had arrived and no blizzard was going to stop her. The mare wrapped a dark grey cloak around her body and started walking in the snow storm.

    The Snow Crystal Bell flower only blooms for a day once every 100 years and it's believed that it posseses extreme magical properties. If that flower became hers, her investigation would shoot her career right to the stars. Fame would light her up, scholars all over the world would come to see her, eager to work with her. And, oh, lucky of her, she found the damned flower. But the price was way too high... Her own life.

    She curled up in the floor, hugging the flower as she felt her body shaking terribly and ice starting to form on her coat. She was a bit closer to death as every single piece of heat escaped from her body. Her heart was slowly stopping when she saw a ghostly figure right in front of her. Was it death? No, it was even more interesting: The Blizzard Spirit. Her perseverance and stubbornness catched the elemental's eye and decided she was going to be it's Vessel.

    That way Escarcha began to exist as the powerful alicorn she's now. Fully dedicated to her studies and her kingdom, she lives in the Ice mountain, a cold place but filled with kind ponies prepared to help whoever is in need.
